The 19th edition of the Asian Games is being held in Hangzhou, China from 23 September to 8 October 2023. This event was about to happen in 2022 but was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic cases rising in China. In this edition, over 12,000 athletes from 45 countries are competing in 40 sports, 61 disciplines, and 481 events. This event (19th Asian Games) is the largest event in the history. This edition is the third edition, which is being organized by China, before that China hosted the Asian Games in 1990 (Beijing) and 2010 (Guangzhou). A total of 921 persons 655 athletes, 260 coaches, and support staff participated in the 19th Asian Games.

On Day 1 of the Asian Games 2023, India secured five medals including three silver and two bronze.
A team of Ashi Chouksey, Mehuli Ghosh, and Ramita bagged a silver (India’s first medal) medal in the women's 10m air rifle team event at the Asian Games 2023.
India's shooter, Ramita bagged the second medal i.e. Bronze for India in the individual event.
A pair of Arvind Singh and Arjun Lal Jat won the silver medal at the men’s lightweight double sculls in Rowing Sport.
A team of Neeraj, Naresh Kalwaniya, Neetesh Kumar, Charanjeet Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Bheem Singh, Punit Kumar, Ashish, and DU Pande won silver at the Rowing's men’s eight teams’ event.
Sailors Lekh Ram and Babu Lal Yadav won bronze at the men’s pair in the Rowing event.
On Day 2, India bagged six medals (two gold and four bronze medals) at the Asian Games 2023.
India's men’s 10m air rifle team (Rudrankksh Patil, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, and Divyansh Singh Panwar) bagged India's first gold medal at the Asian Games 2023.
India's women’s cricket team also secured a second gold medal in Cricket, after defeating Sri Lanka by 19 runs.
Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar settled for bronze in the men’s 10m air rifle individual event.
Anish Bhanwala, Adarsh Singh, and Vijayveer Sidhu bagged bronze in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol team.
Jaswinder Singh, Bheem Singh, Punit Kumar, Ashish won bronze in the Rowing's Men's four event.
Parminder Singh, Satnam Singh, Jakar Khan, and Sukhmeet Singh also bagged bronze in the Rowing Men's quadruple event.
On Day 3, India won three medals including 1 gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze
India won its third gold medal in the Equestrian Dressage Team event, after 41 years at the Asian Games.
A team of team of Hriday Chheda, Anush Agarwalla, Sudipti Hajela, and Divyakriit Singh secured the third gold medal for India, after defeating China.
Indian sailor, Neha Thakur secured the silver medal in the girl's dinghy ILCA-4 event.
While Indian sailor, Eabad Ali bagged a bronze in the men's windsurfer-RS:X event.
On Day 4, India won 8 medals including two gold, three silver, and three bronze.
Sift Kaur Samra bagged gold at the Women’s 50m rifle 3 positions individual event.
A team of Esha Singh, Manu Bhaker, and Rhythm Sangwan won gold in the women’s 25m pistol team.
Ashi Chouksey won bronze at the same event (50m rifle 3 positions individual).
Vishnu Saravanan won a bronze medal in the men's dinghy ICLA7 event (Sailing).
Sift Kaur Samra, Ashi Chouksey, and Manini Kaushik won silver in the women’s 50m rifle 3 Positions team.
Esha Singh bagged a silver medal in the women’s 25m pistol individual category.
Anantjeet Singh Naruka won a silver medal in the men’s skeet individual (First Medal in Men's Skeet since 1974 for India).
In Shooting, a team of Angad Vir Singh, Gurjoat Siingh, and Anand Jeet Singh won bronze in the Skeet Team Men.
On Day 5, India won three medals including 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze at the Asian Games 2023.
Indian Wushu player, Naorem Roshibina Devi won a silver medal in the women’s 60kg in Wushu.
A team of Indian shooters including Sarabjot Singh, Arjun Singh Cheema, and Shiva Narwal clinched gold in the men's 10m air pistol.
Indian equestrian, Anush Agarwalla settled for a bronze in equestrian.
