(i) There will be negative marking at the rate of 0.25 marks to be deducted for every wrong answer.
(ii) ESIC reserves the right to introduce an additional stage of examination which would be notified at a suitable time, if considered necessary.
(iii) Qualifying Marks: - The Qualifying Marks in the Written Online Exam will be 45% for the UR Category, 40% for the OBC Category & EWS category, 35% for SC, ST, and Ex-Servicemen, and 30% for PWD Category.
The candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks out of 100 marks in Test 1 i.e. Technical/Professional Knowledge having 60 minutes duration.
Similarly, the candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks out of a total of 50 marks in Test 2 – General Awareness, Test 3-General Intelligence, and Test – 4 Arithmetic Ability which have 60 minutes duration.
For appointment to the post of Medical Record Assistant, the candidates are required to take a Typing/Data Entry Test as per the essential qualification for the post.
The candidates will be shortlisted for the Typing/Data Entry Test for the post of Medical Record Assistants on the basis of their performance in the Phase-I Written Examination in the following ratio:

A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on the computer (35 words per minute and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500 key depressions per hour or 9000 key depressions on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
PWD candidates, who are unable to type due to their disabilities, shall be exempted from Typing/Data Entry Tests on the production of a certificate regarding physical limitations to type.
The candidates qualifying in Phase – I Written Examination shall be considered for final selection on the basis of their performance in Phase – I Written Examination.
For the post of Medical Record Assistant, the final selection will be made on the basis of the performance of candidates in the Phase – I Written Examination and Typing/Data Entry Test (Qualifying in nature).
