Q stands for Quick decision making i.e. to make a cursory reading of the passage and then decide whether to attempt the passage right now or leave it for later.
S stands for Skip i.e. all the questions related to the passage are not such that can be attempted by everyone. Based on the competencies and comfort level with the language, one needs to decide whether he/she can attempt all the questions or skip a few.
M stands for Memory i.e. after the cursory reading of the passage decide whether you are comfortable with the topic at hand and if you feel that you know the inns and outs of the topic then you can skip reading of the passage. In case you are not familiar with the topic and it is completely new to you, then go through the passage and try to answer the questions in case time allows you.
