Manu Bhaker became the first female Indian medalist ever in the history of Olympics shooting.
On July 28, 2024, Manu Bhaker created history at the Paris Olympics when she won the bronze medal in the women's 10m air-pistol event, becoming the first-ever Indian woman Olympic shooter. On July 27, a day before, Bhaker became the first Indian woman to make it into the final round of Olympic shooting since Athens 2004, and that too, while dominating the final rounds of the women's 10m air-pistol event. 
Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won the very first Olympic shooting medal for India. Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh became the first Indian shooting pair to win an Olympic medal at Paris 2024. It was basically India's sixth Olympic medal coming from the sport of shooting.

Swapnil Kusale Won Bronze Medal in 50m Rifle Shooting Competition
On August 1, Swapnil Kusale added to India's kitty a bronze in men's 50m rifle and made it three out of three for India in the shooting competition at Paris 2024, which is the first time ever in any single event and at any Games. Previous best was two in the Olympic shooting competition in London in 2012. In the 50-meter rifle 3-position, this was also India's first-ever Olympic shooting medal.
