1. Joint military exercise between India and Bangladesh

India and Bangladesh jointly conducted two exercises i.e. CORPAT and BONGOSAGAR in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.

• CORPAT: India and Bangladesh Navies have conducted the 5th edition of Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) in the Northern Bay of Bengal from 07 - 09 Nov 2023.

• BONGOSAGAR: Simultaneously, India and Bangladesh Navies had also conducted the 4th edition of the BONGOSAGAR in the Northern Bay of Bengal from 07 - 09 Nov 2023.
• Indian Navy participated with the ships Kuthar, Kiltan and Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) Dornier, while Bangladesh Navy participated with the ships Abu Bakr, Abu Ubaidah and MPA.
• INS Kuthar: It is an indigenously built guided-missile Corvette.

2. 1% interest rate rebate to Divyang borrowers

3. ICC Board suspends Sri Lanka Cricket’s membership of ICC

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has suspended the Cricket membership of ICC of Sri Lanka with immediate effect.

• In an ICC Board meeting, the board members have decided that Sri Lanka Cricket is in serious breach of its obligations as a Member.
• They highlighted, in particular, the requirement to manage its affairs autonomously and ensure that there is no government interference in the governance, regulation and/or administration of cricket in Sri Lanka.
• The conditions of the suspension will be decided by the ICC Board in due course.
