1. MoU signed to monitor watershed development projects

• The Department of Land Resources (DOLR) and the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) signed an MoU for monitoring of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana - Watershed Development Component (WDC) 2.O.
• Aim: To restore the ecological balance by harnessing, conserving, and developing degraded natural resources such as soil and water.
• The MoU was signed by the Secretary of the Department of Land Resources Ajay Tirkey, and the Secretary of the Department of Space Somanath in New Delhi. 
• This MoU will aid in better utilization of wasteland and help in groundwater recharge.

• The Reserve Bank of India has imposed a penalty of Rs 12.19 crore on ICICI Bank and Rs 3.95 crore on Kotak Mahindra Bank for non-compliance with certain regulatory norms.

In the news:

• Railways' middle-order batter, Ashutosh Sharma broke a 16-year-old record for the fastest fifty by an Indian, created by former India batter Yuvraj Singh.

10. India to Invest ₹143 Lakh Crore in Infrastructure by 2030

• The credit rating agency, Crisil informed that India will spend nearly ₹ 143 lakh crore on infrastructure between fiscal 2024 and 2030, more than twice the ₹ 67 lakh crore spent in the past seven financial years starting in 2017.

4. वेब पोर्टल 'अपना चंद्रयान'
