Andhra Pradesh backward classes welfare minister, Ch Venu Gopala Krishna has informed that the Andhra Pradesh government is planning to launch a comprehensive caste census on November 15, 2023.

Importance of caste census:

• This census helps the government to identify social inequalities, so that, the government can frame the policies for them.
