The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund (JNMF) has declared a major project to develop a large-scale digital reference and education resource committed to the life and works of the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. Aimed at being one of the largest multifaceted PD cancelled multimedia libraries, this Web site will incorporate selections of Nehru’s speeches, letters and writings. The archive will consolidate all one hundred volumes of The Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru, providing insights into Nehru the intellectual and the individual. Thus, it has planned to launch the platform on November 14, 2025 to celebrate the birthday anniversary of Nehru.
The digitalisation is expected to address some of the probable challenges in the future with reference to Nehru’s contributions and leadership in modern India. His letters to the Chief Ministers, essays and other collection will be included in the repository along with Letters from a Father to His Daughter and The Discovery of India. From these documents, users will harvest Nehru’s ideas about a secular, democratic and progressive India, and his humanitarian concepts for World peace and unity.
This initiative has been launched in what seems to have a revival as of recent of discussions about Nehru’s legacy. Suffice to say, it remains clear that the JNMF has argued that this archive is not, and should not be seen, as a political project, but as intellectual and historical exercise intended to preserve Nehru’s legacy and offer archives for serious researchers, students, and interested members of the public. Due to the presence of such misconceptions and the abundance of records that the users of the archive come across, the goal of the archive is to reveal the true personality of Nehru.
The archive will be relatively active and will be subjected to fresh resources or materials that may be made available in the future. It Shows a Positive Steps towards the Technology Implementation in History Conservation Which Tells the Further Story of Nehru in Our Coming Generation. This initiative shows how much it is necessary to protect destinies of leaders of India to pass knowledge and meaningful experience to the further generations.
