Launched in February 2024, the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY) is India’s largest domestic rooftop solar scheme, aimed at promoting renewable energy adoption. The scheme offers households up to 300 units of free electricity monthly while reducing dependence on fossil fuels. With over 10 lakh installations projected by March 2025 and a target of one crore by 2027, the initiative is transforming energy accessibility and sustainability across the nation.

  • PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY) is India’s largest domestic rooftop solar scheme launched in February 2024.
