The REET 2025 eligibility exam pattern has got a lot of changes which will be effective for the upcoming exam of February 2025. For the first time in the history of the REET exam, the candidates will have five multiple-choice options instead of four. Additionally, a crucial new rule has been introduced: negative marking will now apply for unanswered questions. Many of these changes will represent new kinds of challenges for candidates and it is important to be prepared for them. The key changes in the REET 2025 exam pattern are listed below.
The REET Pattern 2025 has several changes with regards to marking criteria, number of options for answer and new disqualifyication rule. Let's try to understand them one-by-one;
The inclusion of negative marking is only applicable when candidate misses a question. The fifth option should only be selected if you are unsure about the correct answer. This fifth option will not add any extra marks nor will it affect your score. However, if you forget to select the fifth option, marks will be deducted from your total score.
OMR sheet of this year will have 5 options for each question instead of previous 4. This change of status to 5 options will make the candidates more careful and selective in choosing their answers.
If participants fail to answer more than 10% of questions provided within the exam, they will be disqualified from further examination. This means a candidate has to make sure that he or she answers at least ninety percent of all the questions so as not to be disqualified.
Overall, REET 2025 contains a practice of negative marking that causes candidates to lose one-third marks for every blank answer. The exam procedure has changed since earlier years so candidates now need to answer all questions or face deduction points. One option per OMR sheet question is now accompanied by four alternatives but featuring a fifth option as a measure to help doubtful responders. Not selecting options in at least 10% of the questions ends in candidate disqualification from the examination. Strategic answering has become essential for candidates since these modified test requirements focus on improving fairness and accuracy.
