The REET 2024-2025 exam, scheduled for February 27, 2025, consists of two levels: Level 1 for teachers of primary schools (Classes 1 to 5) and Level 2 for teachers of upper primary schools (Classes 6 to 8). The courses in Level 1 are Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi/ English), Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. This level is about understanding and teaching aptitudes required for teaching in primary class. REET Syllabus 2024

Child Development & Pedagogy is a part of the REET Level 1 syllabus in which the candidates can learn about the factors affecting children’s development, theories of learning, and teaching methodology. REET Level 1 Syllabus of Mathematics

The Mathematics section of the REET Level 1 syllabus is as follows An awareness of these curriculum areas is to be evident in meeting the requirements of the REET Level 1 syllabus Teachers require basic mathematical knowledge The areas tested in the Mathematics section of the REET Level 1 syllabus are as follows It has areas of learning namely fractions, management of data, geometry, measurement of lengths, weights, and time. This syllabus also covers other operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, number theories such as LCM, HCF and prime numbers. It also advances the subject of mathematics in curriculum, assessment, and supplementary instructional models, ways of assessment, analysis of errors, and structures for remedial learning.

REET Level 1 Syllabus: Language 1 & Language 2

A part of Language 1 & Language 2 that needs to be covered in the class mostly concerns grammar such as the parts of speech, tense & voice- active and passive. It also includes phonetics, questionnaire formation skills, and the essential vocabulary acquisition skills like synonyms and antonyms as well as words formation. Environmental Studies Syllabus for REET Level 1

The syllabus of Environmental Studies for REET Level 1 includes Subject such as clothes and habitats where students learn about the clothes that should be worn during seasons, washing and types of homes. Transport and communication are also stressed, as is the impact of these upon lives. Some topics which are important to know includes; hygiene, nutrition and general health, and routine ailments. The new syllabus of the REET 2024 has our solar system, Indian astronauts, and Mountaineering kit. Students will cover environmental pedagogy and will gain appreciation of history of Rajasthan and major personalities. 

  • Clothes and Habitats: Clothes for different seasons; maintenance of clothes at home; handloom and power loom; habitats of living beings, various types of houses; cleanliness of houses and neighboring.
  • Transport and Communication – Means of transport and communication; Rules for pedestrian and transport, Traffic Symbols, Effects of means of communication on the lifestyle.
  • Personal Hygiene – External parts of our body and their cleanliness; general information about the internal parts of the body; Balanced diet and its importance; Common diseases (gastroenteritis, amoebiosis, methemoglobin, anemia, fluorosis, malaria, dengue).
  • The earth and Space – Our Solar system, Indian Astronauts.
  • Mountaineering – Equipment, Problems, Main Women Mountaineers of India.

REET Level 2 Syllabus shall be based on five subjects, namely Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. The detailed REET Level 2 syllabus is provided below.

Level 2 Syllabus for Language 1 (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi)

The Level 2 syllabus of Language 1 in REET aims at developing language abilities in a number of languages including Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Gujurati, Urdu, Sindhi and Punjabi. They are topics such as language acquisition, Syntax and grammar (both the category, tenses, and degrees of comparison), and instructional resources which are the books and other materials such as multimedia. It also introduces essential areas of the English language as synonyms, antonyms, word formation, active/passive voice, WH-framing. Furthermore, it lays focus on Comprehensive & Continuous Evaluation and Unseen Prose Passage to develop comprehension, aligned to the REET syllabus 2024.
