Steps to Apply for RRB Group D Exam
Here are the steps to apply for the RRB Group D Exam:
- Visit the official RRB website.
- Now, search for the “RRB Group D Notification 2024” link.
- Click on “Apply Now” tab to begin the registration process.
- Now, click on “New Registration” tab.
- Enter your required personal details, academic information & more.
- Upload your scanned copies of educational transcript as well as you photograph and signature.
- Review your application, you must check that all the details you entered are correct or not.
- No, pay the Application Fee.
- Now finally submit your application form and take a printout of it for your future reference.

RRB Group D Application Correction
After submitting the online RRB Group D application form, candidates can make edits online. You can change any details except for the railway, email, and mobile number by paying a modification fee of INR 100, which applies to all candidates, including those with fee concessions. This fee is non-refundable.
If you change your community status from SC/ST to UR or OBC, you must pay an additional INR 250 for the examination fee, on top of the modification fee. Similarly, if you switch from categories like Ex.SM/PwBD/Female/Transgender to UR/OBC(NCL)/Non Ex.SM/Non PwBD/Male, you will also need to pay an extra INR 250, plus the modification fee.
You can only make changes twice. It's best to make any modifications well before the RRB Group D application form deadline. To modify your application:
- Log in with your registration number and password.
- Pay the modification fee.
- Click on the ‘Modify Application’ button.
- Make your changes.
- Save a printout of the updated application for your records.
Reasons of RRB Group D Application Rejection
Your RRB Group D application might be rejected for several reasons:
- Photos that are not valid, such as black and white photos, photos with caps or sunglasses, disfigured or unrecognizable photos, small size photos, full-body photos, or photos showing only one side of your face. Also, photocopies, group photos, selfies, mobile photos, or morphed photos are not accepted. Applications without photos will also be rejected.
- Signatures written in capital or block letters.
- Not meeting the required qualifications for the job.
- Being too old or too young, or entering the wrong date of birth.
- Submitting multiple applications to different Railway zones or to the same zone. If this happens, all applications will be rejected, and you may be banned from future RRB/RRC exams.
- Your name appearing on the debarred list of any RRB/RRC.
- Incomplete or incorrectly filled applications, or any other issues noted by the RRB that are considered invalid.
