The above-mentioned expected cutoffs of CGL Tier 2 exams would be subject to changes by considering factors including, the number of vacancies, the difficulty of the exam, score normalization, and performance trends of candidates in the examination.
The SSC CGL Tier 2 Expected cut-off for the candidates in the General category (450 460) points to a competitive scenario wherein candidates need to be well-prepared to shine in all the sections to pass the examination. The high range is due to the broader competition higher aspirations and expectations from top-performing aspirants, and normalization effects, particularly given a tough exam structure and rising participation.
As the SSC CGL Tier 2 expected cutoff 2024 to be between 400 and 410 for the OBC category, it will be hard to crack if you are from the OBC reserved category. The cutoffs for the respective category appear to be slightly less than the General. This group of aspirants should attempt to cover their sectional strengths and try to get to the higher end of the range for better chances.
Although the cut-off for SC (360-370) offers comfortable space for reserved category candidates, there is enough competitive benchmarking. This range is also moderate in terms of competition and, therefore, aspirants would need to perform well in all sections to get these marks.
This ST category cut-off (340-350) is lower than other reserved categories and consistent with more relaxed criteria to ensure inclusion. These relaxations can be used by candidates but still, they need to stay prepared and try to score as close to the higher end of the range, as that will ensure success.
The cut-off for Persons with Disabilities 250-260 is based upon considerations of inclusiveness across multiple disabilities. It is within this range, which makes participation without taking away the fairness of competition. For good performance, aspirants should aim towards entirely covering all manageable sections of the Tier 2 examination.
Among categories, Ex-Servicemen (270-280) have one of the lowest cut-off, since they have specific eligibility. However, this relaxed range is the government’s effort to allow experienced persons to transit to civil services. Yet scoring near the high end of this range remains essential to be selected.
For the Orthopedically Handicapped candidates the SSC CGL Tier 2 expected cutoff 2024 is 320 – 330. These adjustments for accessibility are within this range of competitiveness. Those in this category must not only be prepared to meet the required scores but also must have prepared themselves physically to overcome the physical challenges present.
The cut off in the Hearing Handicapped category (230-240) is the most relaxed and hence hearing-impaired aspirants are not left out. It is fair to fail, but requires constant readiness and good time management.
The cut-off of (290-300) in the visually handicapped category strikes the balance between merit and inclusion. To get marks up there on the higher end of this range, candidates will need to excel in inaccessible sections and supplement preparation with assistive tools.
