SSC MTS Syllabus & Pattern

SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2024

Understanding the SSC MTS exam pattern is crucial for candidates as it boosts their confidence and enhances their scoring potential. It serves as the first step in SSC MTS preparation. With the new exam pattern, the Commission has eliminated Tier 2 and document verification from the recruitment process. Additionally, the SSC MTS and Havaldar 2024 syllabus has been revised to accommodate the removal of paper 2. The paper is now divided into two sections, each with a sectional time limit of 45 minutes.

The Staff Selection Commission will announce the SSC MTS exam pattern 2024 in the official notification. Candidates must refer to the official notification to understand the exam pattern. With the current exam pattern, SSC MTS Paper 2 has been eliminated from the selection process. Therefore, the SSC MTS exam now consists of only two stages as mentioned below:

1. SSC MTS Paper 1 - Computer Based Test (CBT)

  • The revised SSC MTS Exam Pattern  has been released along with the SSC MTS Recruitment Notification 2024, and the details are tabulated below.
  • The Computer-Based Examination will be conducted in two sessions: Session-I and Session-II.
  • Both sessions are mandatory, and not attempting any session will disqualify the candidate.
  • There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2.
  • There will be no negative marking in Session 1.

Additionally, the marking structure of SSC MTS paper 1 was revised, with the removal of negative marking from the Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving sections.

Candidates must extract the syllabus from the official document themselves. This entails manually copying and pasting the topics outlined in the official syllabus and assembling them into a syllabus PDF. The SSC CHSL syllabus forms the cornerstone of CHSL preparation, providing the framework for exam readiness. This syllabus varies between Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the SSC CHSL examination. For Tier 1, the syllabus encompasses essential topics from English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. Tier 2 of the SSC CHSL involves three sections, each comprising two modules. These sections are as follows: Section-I: Module-I: Mathematical Abilities, Module II: Reasoning and General Intelligence. Candidates should be aware that the Staff Selection Commission modified the SSC MTS exam format in 2022. The Commission removed the tier 2 exam, transitioning to a single online exam for candidate selection. The SSC MTS 2024 Tier 1 exam will have a total of 270 marks, with 90 questions, each carrying a weightage of 3 marks. The duration of the SSC MTS 2024 Tier 1 exam will be 90 minutes. In 2022, the SSC introduced sections in the SSC MTS Tier 1 exam, dividing the paper into two sections. One section includes negative marking for candidates, with partial penalties applied.

Indeed, for every incorrect response, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks.
